Notes from this trip: This was our first camping & caravan club site visit ever; although we only stayed a night on this site we still got out too see a lot of views in the local area. The morning before we left we went to the local Craster bay famous for its smoked kippers but couldn’t see the smoking room as it was closed due to it being a Sunday. Also we had a walk down to Emblton Bay Sands which was a very clean beach with very rich sand with very few stones; the beach had breath taking views of Dunstanborough castle. We would consider re-visiting the site and staying for a little longer to see some more of the local area.

Short Site Review: When we arrived at the site we were shown to our pitch by one of the wardens, most of the touring pitches were grass although there were a few hard standing. There was a few seasonal pitches at the side of the site near the toilet blocks, of which were full. The site was busy yet still quiet at the time we visited. The toilet blocks were the cleanest that we have seen and they were heated too, the site was generally well maintained and the pitches were spread out nicely with enough space for a caravan, an awning & a car per pitch. At the bottom of the site there is a gate which you can go through and walk down to Emblton Bay Sands beach and on to Dunstanborough castle. Overall it was a very nice site.
