Notes from this trip: This was our third visit to the site (with three completley different outfits!) We set off middayon the Thursday as my sister
had inset days thursday and friday - and i had finished school on the monday. This gave us great time to travel and give us half a day at the site
to do as we please. We made great time and the car towed well once again, but the poor springs were creaking once again (time to look for
some spring assitors i think!) We arrived and got pitched up on a nice pitch that got sun most of the day - it was a tight pitch once again though,
so thank goodness for our Truma motor mover. There is a burger van on site on a Thursday & Saturday so we had fish & chips/chicken & chips
on thursday evening (dad and I cycled up the site to get them). We decided like last time that we would take our bikes with us on this trip as
Park Coppice has access to many different cycle routes and of-course access to the waters edge of Coniston water. We ended up cycling just
under twenty miles over three days which doesnt sound a lot but its not all flat!! On friday Dad & I went on a bike ride to Torver and along
Coniston water into the small village of Coniston where we met mam & my sister. We then rode back and had a bbq together using our new
Kettle bbq from Tesco - it was wonderfull and cooked pretty quick (highly reccomended for a £5!). Later that day Dad and I went for a bike ride
and we took quite an un-even route which caused dad to put quite some strain on his bikes plastic pedals... to which they brook under foot as
they were so brital! Back to the caravan and some insulating tape soon sorted that out!! The next day we went for a ride out in the car, firstly
we went to Kirkstone Pass for my photograph to put in my Kirkston Pass diary (to show how it changes month after month, throughout the
seasons). Then we stopped off at a nice pub in Outgate (the Outgate in - fantastic meals) and had a great pub meal. Afterwards we went into Hawkshead to do some shopping (well me and dad didnt, we went and took photographs of the wonderfull Hawkshead church!) We then returned to the caravan and Dad an I went on a final bike ride, down to the waters edge and along heading for Torver once again following
a footpath to Torver along the waters edge - we went as far as we could get by bike and then turned around and headed back to the caravan
via "Old Coniston Hall Campsite". The next morning it was time for some breakfast and to pack everything up as it was already time to head
home again! What a fantastic trip away though. We had a nice quite journey home with a few spots of rain - turning to fog!

Short Site Review: When we arrived at the site once again we drove
around the site and chose our pitch, the site is very large but set out in section sort of like culdisacks, each section has between 2-12 pitches
and are all named different. We pitched at the bottom of the site near toilet block c and the pitch was very spacious. All of the three toilet blocks
were well kept, and always clean when we used the facilities. The site was well maintained and wardens were about doing little bits and pieces.
The site was quite noisy through the day with children; however we visited it in the height of summer so some noise was to be expected. Our
only other criticism about this site is when it rains heavy the rain drips of the trees onto the caravan’s roof and can wake you up through the
night. The site had a nice road that went down to the side of Lake Coniston and went through another campsite and eventually into Coniston
village itself. As always we found it was a very nice site and will visit again in the future.
